An Alabama and Florida man have been arrested in two separate golf cart DUI incidents, in a 24-hour period.
On Monday night, Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a driver of a low-speed vehicle pulled over on the side of Highway 98 in Miramar Beach.
The driver who was from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was arrested for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of .197.
He was transported and booked into the Walton County Jail.

The following day, Tuesday afternoon, the driver of a golf cart drove through the school parking lot at Gateway Academy, onto Highway 98, then into the IHOP parking lot.
Deputies conducted field sobriety tests and it was determined he was under the influence.
The driver who was from Miramar Beach was arrested and booked into the Walton County Jail.
Walton County Sheriff’s Office reminds golf cart drivers that your golf cart must be street legal and you must be sober with a valid driver’s license.
