A new study has revealed the top-performing NFL players of the season, including big names such as the 49ers’ Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey, who are set to appear in the Super Bowl this weekend.

The top players have been revealed by analyzing the stats for interceptions, passing, receiving, rushing, and tackling, scoring each player out of 100 based on their performance in the 2023/2024 season.
The study revealed the top-performing players for interceptions across the 2023 season DaRon Bland, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, took the top spot, scoring 94 out of 100 within the metric. Bland had the highest number of interceptions compared with any other NFL player – 9 interceptions.
Jessie Bates, a safety for the Atlanta Falcons, has been revealed as the second-best interceptor, scoring 54 out of 100, with seven interceptions across the season. Bates’ performance across the season was impressive, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, as the Falcons failed to make the playoffs.

Brock Purdy, quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, emerged as the top performer in the passing metric, boasting an impressive score of 65 out of 100. Notably, Purdy etched his name into the 49ers’ history by setting the team’s single-season passing yards record in January.
As anticipation builds for the upcoming Super Bowl this weekend, fans will be eagerly awaiting Purdy’s continued excellence on the field, hoping he can help lead his team to victory.
Coming in second for the passing metrics is Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, with a solid score of 63 out of 100. Prescott also made his mark with an impressive passing yardage of 4,516, ranking third highest for the season.
Mike Evans, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ wide receiver, earned a score of 89 out of 100 in receiving metrics, showcasing his reliability. Evans consistently delivered throughout the season with 79 receptions for 1,255 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Ranking second within the receiving metrics is Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, who achieved a score of 86 out of 100 in receiving metrics, showcasing his speed and agility with 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Derrick Henry, running back for the Tennessee Titans, claimed the top spot in the rushing metric with an impressive 84 out of 100 score. He amassed 1,167 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 280 attempts, showcasing his dominance on the field.
Securing the second spot, Christian McCaffrey, the San Francisco 49ers’ running back, scored 80 out of 100. Throughout the season, McCaffrey impressed with 1,459 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 272 attempts, showcasing his ability to consistently gain first downs and break through defenses for long runs.
Finally, linebackers Terrel Bernard and Bobby Wagner have been revealed as the top two players within the tackling metric.
Terrel Bernard, who plays for the Buffalo Bills, scored 87 out of 100 within the metric thanks to his impressive performance. Bernard proved himself to be a formidable force on the field with a total of 143 combined tackles, consisting of 59 assists and 68 solo tackles.
The Seattle Seahawks’ linebacker Bobby Wagner ranked closely behind Terrel Bernard with a tackling score of 86.5 out of 100. Wagner’s contributions were significant across the season, with 183 combined tackles, including 87 assists and 77 solo tackles, highlighting his impact on the field.

Unfortunately, for the Chiefs, none of their players made the top five rankings – but with star players such as Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, who have Super Bowl-winning experience, the game could still go either way.”
