After Martha’s Vineyard Dust-Up, Biden Made Florida Top-Stop For Migrant Parole Program

In September 2022, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wanted liberals to live up to their open-borders rhetoric.

He put roughly 50 illegal immigrants on a plane to Martha’s Vineyard, a favorite playground of the rich and famous in Massachusetts that also had declared itself a “sanctuary city” for illegal immigration.

The sanctuary didn’t last long. Within two days the illegals were redirected to a National Guard base at Cape Cod, sparing the upscale residents of Martha’s Vineyard the true consequences of their ideas.

But did left-wing President Joe Biden seek retribution against DeSantis for the move?

A new report about Biden’s parole program for select immigrants doesn’t make a clear connection.

But the timing of events suggests that it wouldn’t have been beyond Biden, who has a habit of using the federal government to go after his political enemies, including former President Donald Trump, to do so.

Last week, NaturalNews.com reported that between January and August of 2023, the Department of Homeland Security shipped more than 200,000 migrants who were granted parole by Biden to 45 cities around the country.

Florida cities accounted for four of the top seven: Miami (No. 1), Ft. Lauderdale (No. 2), Orlando (No. 5), and Tampa (No. 7).

“More than 80 percent of the migrants ended up in Florida with Miami receiving more than any other city at 91,821 of them,” Natural News reported.

The program, by the way, was launched in October 2022, just a month after DeSantis delivered those 50 illegals to Martha’s Vineyard.

The numbers came to light after DHS responded to a subpoena by the House Homeland Security Committee.

The flights were initially announced specifically for Venezuelans fleeing their socialist country. Later, however, Biden added Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Cubans to the list.

In its reply to Congress, DHS admitted they are technically illegal immigrants.

“All individuals paroled into the United States are, by definition, inadmissible, including those paroled under the CHNV (Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela) processes.”

Yet, as Natural News noted, “The scheme is only just the beginning as there are another 1.6 million migrants at least who are hoping to get the same red-carpet treatment.”

Florida and several other red states have sued to end the program, but the litigation has yet to gain any traction.

Still, DeSantis’ office was confident in the eventual outcome.

“Biden’s parole program is unlawful, and constitutes an abuse of constitutional authority,” said Jeremy Redfern, DeSantis’ press secretary. “Florida is currently suing Biden to shut it down, and we believe that we will prevail.”
