Aerial Mosquito Spraying Planned For Hillsborough County

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County will be conducting aerial mosquito control treatments this weekend in response to the increased mosquito population following Hurricane Milton.

The heavy rains and widespread flooding caused by the hurricane have created ideal breeding conditions for mosquitoes. To combat this, Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services will be spraying Dibrom from aircraft on Saturday, November 2nd, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The aerial spraying will cover over 120,000 acres in the following areas:

  • Apollo Beach
  • Gibsonton
  • Ruskin
  • Seffner
  • Mango
  • Plant City
  • South Tampa
  • Town ‘N Country
  • Lutz
  • Keystone
  • Odessa
  • Parts of Lithia
  • Parts of Valrico

The Hillsborough County website provides a way for residents to sign up for notifications about aerial and ground mosquito control treatments in their area and track the locations of current treatments.
