PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. – As the number of positive COVID-19 cases rises, a new no-appointment testing site is set to open in Pinellas on Thursday, December 30 to meet additional demand.
The new COVID-19 testing site is located at 7150 114th Ave. in Largo. Testing is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. Please note that this location will be closed Friday, December 31 and Saturday, January 1 in observance of the New Year holiday, and will resume normal operations on Sunday, January 2.
This new site joins the one currently operating at the Center for Health Equity in St. Petersburg, which offers testing from Monday through Friday from
9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. This location will be closed Friday, December 31 in observance of the New Year holiday, and will resume normal operations on Monday, January 3.
Both rapid and PCR tests for COVID-19 are offered at no cost at these locations. Proof of medical insurance is recommended and should be presented at the time of the test. Those without medical insurance will still be tested at no cost.
The test sites are operated and managed by CDR Maguire, not the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas). For information about these CDR Maguire test sites, call (850) 583-2419.
There are also CVS, Walgreens and urgent care clinics providing testing in Pinellas. They are listed on the Pinellas County site at covid19.pinellascounty.org/testing/.
DOH-Pinellas continues to encourage everyone who has not received a COVID-19 vaccination to get protected as soon as possible, and for those who are eligible to receive their booster dose. Vaccinations remain the most effective defense against COVID-19.
To find all locations where vaccines are provided near you, go to www.vaccines.gov or call (800) 232-0233.
