Where do the people on the right who were targeted by the previous regime at Twitter go to get their reputations back?
Actor James Woods, one of the few openly conservative figures in Hollywood, is going to court. And he hopes others will follow.
In an interview with Fox News’s Tucker Carlson on Friday, Woods said he would sue the Democratic National Committee for its efforts to censor him on Twitter.
New Twitter owner Elon Musk on Friday unloaded a trove of internal communications that showed how Twitter vigorously slapped down the New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s laptop in October 2020. The company had said it was intended to control “misinformation,” and liberals went along for the ride.
Now, however, the left-leaning media, including The New York Times earlier this year and CBS News last week, have verified the Post’s work.
The Post outlined how Hunter Biden’s questionable business deals with overseas entities may have profited his father, President Joe Biden.
Musk provided the “Twitter Files” to journalist Matt Taibbi, who, among other revelations, reported on Friday that during the 2020 campaign that both the Trump White House and the Biden campaign had access to Twitter’s tools to control or remove information they considered misleading.

But as Taibbi noted, “This system wasn’t balanced. It was based on contacts. Because Twitter was and is overwhelmingly staffed by people of one political orientation, there were more channels, more ways to complain, open to the left (well, Democrats) than the right.”
Woods was a victim of that after the Post’s story broke.
The actor tweeted an image of Hunter Biden apparently smoking crack cocaine and engaging in a sex act involving a woman’s foot, which was blurred out.
Woods captioned the tweet with “I’M ON TEAM TOE!” That was a play on Joe Biden’s campaign slogan, “I’m on Team Joe.” Woods also added to the tweet, “Feets, don’t fail me now!”
On Friday, he learned that his tweet was canned because the DNC pushed Twitter to remove it.
Woods, whose roles included starring as a brash, cutthroat lawyer on the CBS crime series “Shark,” told Carlson that he previously filed, and won, a lawsuit against the DNC for its role in promoting a tweet that falsely claimed Woods accused someone of giving a Nazi salute.
He added that he will drag the DNC to court again over this incident and hopes others will follow if they appear in the Twitter Files.
“I’ve been a target of these people for six years. They’ve destroyed my career. They’ve destroyed my livelihood. They’ve destroyed my faith in the country that my family has defended in the military since the Revolutionary War,” he told Carlson.
“I am not going to take this sitting down. I think these people are vermin for doing this to other people,” added Woods, who said he knows of actors who have been blacklisted from roles because they follow him on social media.
“Scratch a liberal, you will find a fascist every time,” said Woods. “Every time.”
“To Joe Biden and all those rats who work with you at the DNC who closed down my speech, I am not afraid of you,” the actor concluded. “And I’m coming for you.”
