Authorities are actively searching for a Arizona man connected to a threat to kill former President Donald Trump ahead of his visit to the Arizona-Mexico border.
The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 66-year-old Ronald Lee Syrvud of Benson, Arizona, who is wanted on multiple outstanding warrants. Syrvud is now also linked to recent threats made against Trump, the Republican presidential candidate.

Trump is scheduled to visit Cochise County on Thursday, touring the same area of the U.S.-Mexico border in Sierra Vista that his vice-presidential running mate, Senator JD Vance, visited three weeks prior.
Syrvud has outstanding warrants in Wisconsin for DUI and failure to appear for DUI charges. He also faces charges in Graham County, Arizona, for hit and run, and felony failure to register as a sex offender. The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office noted that Syrvud failed to register as a sex offender in Coconino County as well.
