A New Poll Delivers An Answer To Trump’s Recent Question About Whether He Is Missed: Yes.

A couple of weeks ago, former President Donald Trump asked a simple question as gas prices shot up to levels unseen in four decades.

“DO YOU MISS ME YET?” Trump asked in a pointed statement.

Apparently, for many, the answer is yes.

Emerson College in Boston released a poll on Tuesday that revealed Trump holds a 12-point favorability rating over President Joe Biden.

According to the poll, 59 percent of those surveyed said they had a “somewhat or very favorable” opinion of Trump. That compared to just 47 percent for Biden.

Trump’s rating was 10 percentage points above the highest approval rating he earned as president. That was 49 percent in January and February 2020, just before the pandemic hit.

Moreover, the new, positive outlook of Trump has pushed him past Biden in a possible 2024 rematch.   

Emerson reports that Trump would beat Biden in the election by a 45-42 margin.

Trump holds a strong lead – 47 to 38 – among suburban voters, who went largely for Biden last time.

The two men split fairly equally along other demographic lines, such as rural versus urban and college-educated relative to those with no college.

But besides suburban voters, Biden also is tanking among independents.

Although Emerson’s survey noted that Biden’s overall approval rating climbed a point since February, up to 43 percent, independents disapprove of him by a 64-28 margin.

That is also hurting Democrats in Congress. Independents embrace Republicans by a 42-28 margin when asked about congressional races.

Among all voters, the GOP gets 47 percent on the generic ballot, compared to 42 percent for Democrats.
