The U.S. Department of Commerce added several Chinese technology companies to its trade blacklist Wednesday for providing technological support to the Chinese military.

China’s Latest Military Build-Up Seems To Bet That America’s Woke Military Won’t Put Up Much Of A Fight

The last we heard from Gen. Mark Milley, he was hunting down those elusive white supremacists in the U.S. military, running a recruitment ad featuring a soldier who marched in gay pride parades with her lesbian mothers, and assuring us that his promise to tip off a top Chinese general ahead of an American attack was really not treasonous.

But apparently, something about the Far East woke the wokester who chairs the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In comments last week, Milley noted of China, “We’re witnessing one of the largest shifts in global geo-strategic power the world has witnessed. They are clearly challenging us regionally and their aspiration is to challenge the United States globally.”

The Hill reported what that looked like.

“America’s defense establishment has watched threats from Beijing rapidly grow in multiple areas, including recent hypersonic missile tests, an expanding nuclear arsenal, strides in space and cyber and seemingly daily threats to Taiwan,” the publication observed.

According to The Hill, Milley added, “Today [China] has capabilities in space and cyber, land, sea, air, undersea, and they are clearly challenging us regionally. … So we have a case here of a country that is becoming extraordinarily powerful, that wants to revise the international order to their advantage. That’s going to be a real challenge over the coming years. In the next 10, 20 years. That’s going to be really significant for the United States.”

Now, Rebel News adds to this disturbing observation that China is preparing for something more.

“Newly published satellite photos show that the Chinese military has constructed full-scale mockups of U.S. warships, including an aircraft carrier, to use as target practice,” Rebel News reported, citing comments by the U.S. Naval Institute.

Detailed satellite photos indicate the Chinese military “constructed targets in the shape of destroyers and an aircraft carrier in the Taklamakan desert as part of a new target range complex.”

The Institute itself noted in its report, “This new range shows that China continues to focus on anti-carrier capabilities, with an emphasis on U.S. Navy warships. Unlike the Iranian Navy’s aircraft carrier-shaped target in the Persian Gulf, the new facility shows signs of a sophisticated instrumented target range.”

Rebel News reported that the targets were first built in 2019 but dismantled later that year. The site was revived a couple of months ago.

On one level, it makes sense the Chinese would erect such targets. After all, they need something to shoot their new rockets at.

China has developed anti-ship missiles with a range of nearly 1,000 miles that can be fired from the mainland, and now possesses the third-largest air force in the world.

The Chinese communist government also is working on a plan to increase its nuclear missile arsenal fivefold by the end of this decade, Rebel News added.

“Clearly, they have invested a lot and particularly air and maritime capabilities that are designed largely to try to prevent the United States from having access to certain areas in the Indo-Pacific,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said recently.

Yes, that’s evident. But the question is what is the Biden administration doing about that.
