PASCO COUNTY, FL. – A 17-year-old Zephyrhills boy was killed overnight in a crash that happened around 2:18 am. Sunday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Ford Mustang, was traveling southbound on Allen Road, south of Happy Days Drive. A 17-year-old bicyclist was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of Allen Road, adjacent to a 15-year-old bicyclist, neither of which were wearing helmets or using lights on the bikes.
Troopers say as the Mustang approached the bicyclists and failed to maintain control of the vehicle which crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with the 17-year-old bicyclist who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The driver was Impaired in excess of three times the legal limit, Andrea Nadine Woods was later arrested by FHP Troopers for DUI Manslaughter and delivered to the Pasco County Jail.
