BRANDON: Despite the rain today, Black Lives Matter protesters showed up at Regency Square to protest the death of George Floyd.
Cars passed by, some beeping their horns in support for the group there today. One passerby rolled his window down and voiced his opinion. Some words and fingers were exchanged with the protesters and the driver. The group began chanting “Black Lives Matter”.
As the driver started to pull away, an angry protester kicked towards the drivers vehicle and the driver stopped. He came out of his vehicle and again, exchanged words, but pulled away peacefully.
The group organizer reminded the protesters, that damaging property during a protest, could be a felony charge and to keep things peaceful.
