County Vaccination Sites, Including Plant City Stadium, Have Many Appointments Available

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – There are still many appointments available for first doses of the COVID-19 coronavirus vaccinations to be dispensed free of charge this week at Hillsborough County public vaccination sites.

This includes the newest location: Plant City Stadium, 1810 S. Park Road in Plant City.

The Plant City Stadium location is a drive-thru site. Individuals remain in their vehicles throughout the entire process, which is quick, easy, and has little to no wait time to receive the shot. The stadium site was open today and will be operating again Tuesday and Wednesday.

First doses will be dispensed later this week at the Ed Radice Sports Complex, 14720 Ed Radice Drive in Tampa, and Vance Vogel Sports Complex, 13012 Bullfrog Creek Road in Gibsonton. These also are drive-thru locations.

Appointments to be vaccinated at a County location are mandatory. Florida residency is required. To make an appointment, go to the CDR Health Pro portal at patientportalfl.com. It takes only a few minutes to create an account and select an appointment.

Vaccine eligibility statewide has expanded to all Floridians as prescribed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Sites run by Hillsborough County dispense only the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which can be given to individuals 16 years of age and older.

There is no out-of-pocket cost to be vaccinated. A doctor’s note or prescription is not required. Health insurance information is being collected in accordance with federal guidance; however, you will not be asked to pay a copay or deductible. Individuals who do not have health insurance will still be vaccinated.
