HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla.- An 18-year-old man from Seffner was killed in an overnight crash on I-75, and two others seriously injured, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say around 10:05 pm, the Seffner man was driving a car southbound on I-75 near milepost 253 at a high rate of speed in the outside center lane.
A second car was traveling southbound in the outside lane.
The Seffner man failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, rotated, and collided with the front left of second the car. Both vehicles rotated off the roadway, down an embankment, and into the tree line. The 18-year-old suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The passenger in his car, a 19-year-old man from Brandon, suffered serious injuries and the second driver, a 20-year-old man from Riverview also suffered serious injuries.
