CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police, Clearwater Fire & Rescue, and Safety Harbor Fire Department were on the scene of a crash on State Road 580 where a vehicle went into a pond just east of McMullen Booth Road.
Police say the call came in just after 8 AM this morning. The vehicle was traveling westbound when it went out of control and into the pond.
In a statement, Police said, “The vehicle has been removed from the pond. One body, that of an adult male, has been recovered at the scene.”
All lanes of State Road 580 were shut down but have since reopened.
