CLEARWATER Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to the scene of a crash with multiple victims with serious injuries. The call came in at 4:18 a.m. Sunday at 16 N. Highland Ave.
The vehicle crashed into a residence there. Some of the victims had to be extricated from the wreckage by firefighters.
The car was traveling north on Highland Avenue at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and it slammed into the residence.
Four people were inside the car at the time of the crash.
Two were taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and two were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.
All suffered serious injuries.
The family living inside the duplex was out of town at the time of the crash.
