PASCO COUNTY, Fla – Pasco County Parks and Recreation have reopened many of the local parks throughout the county, including and limited to essential activities such as swimming, walking, biking, running, and fishing.
It’s still incredibly important to maintain social distancing of 6 feet or more to prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to a county Press Release on April 21st. All social distancing guidelines are still in place in locations throughout the state. A list of current closures as they are updated can be found here.
Some of the parks which have re-opened and are allowing limited access for essential activities are as follows – please note that nearly all restrooms remain closed at this time:
-Key Vista Nature Park – Holiday
-Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park – New Port Richey
-Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park – Hudson; boat ramp open
-Upper Pithlachascotee Preserve – Spring Hill
-Pasco Palms Preserve – New Port Richey
-Lake Lisa Park – New Port Richey
-Withlacoochee River Park – Dade City
-Aripeka Sandhills Preserve – Hudson
-Boy Scout Preserve – New Port Richey
-Crews Lake Wilderness Park – Spring Hill
-Anclote River Park – Holiday; Has restroom access and boat ramp is open
-Eagle Point Park – New Port Richey; kayak and canoe access & boat ramp open
-Moon Lake Park – New Port Richey – boat ramp open
-Middle Lake – Dade City; boat ramp open

-Beaches that are currently open for essential use only, and groups of more than 10 not allowed:
-Sunwest Park – Hudson; open for existing annual passholders only
