TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists who regularly travel on West Sligh Avenue will need to plan ahead next week as the eastbound lanes between North Rome Avenue and North Boulevard are slated for closure.
The City of Tampa announced Thursday that the lane closure will begin at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, April 29th, to allow department crews to conduct essential repairs to a wastewater mainline pipe and address a depression in the roadway.

The repairs will necessitate a full closure of the eastbound lanes in the affected area. To guide drivers around the work zone, detour signage and barricades will be clearly visible and strategically placed.
Authorities emphasize that while the eastbound lanes will be closed to through traffic, access to businesses and residential properties within the closure zone will be maintained throughout the duration of the work.
