HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with a head-on collision on Turkey Creek Road last month that resulted in the deaths of two adults.
Adrian Burnett turned himself in without incident at the Orient Road Jail earlier today, April 22, 2025, after an arrest warrant was issued on April 21, 2025.
The incident occurred on March 9, 2025, at approximately 3:07 a.m. Deputies responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Turkey Creek Road south of US Highway 92. Upon arrival, they discovered two adult victims who were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Following a comprehensive investigation into the collision, authorities identified Adrian Burnett as the alleged responsible party. He now faces a string of serious charges, including:
- Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
- Manslaughter (x2)
- Armed Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Cannabis Less than 20 Grams
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister expressed his condolences and emphasized the gravity of the situation.
“This tragedy is a painful reminder of the irreversible consequences of driving under the influence,” stated Sheriff Chronister. “Our hearts are with the victims’ families, and we remain committed to holding those who make reckless choices accountable.”
