POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the community to identify a suspect involved in an act of criminal mischief in the Four Corners area.

According to deputies, around midnight on Wednesday, March 30, 2025, an unknown individual slashed all four tires of a white Chevrolet box truck. The vehicle was parked behind a business located at 9230 HWY 192 #C, situated a few thousand feet east of U.S. Highway 27 on the south side of Highway 192.

Security footage captured the suspect, described as a white male, damaging the vehicle. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the video shows the man flattening two of the truck’s tires, though all four were ultimately found slashed. A key identifying feature noted by investigators is that the suspect walks with a distinctive limp.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has assigned case number 25-12879 to this incident.

Detectives are urging anyone who might recognize the individual from the description, particularly the distinctive limp, or who has any information pertinent to this investigation, to come forward.
