The Department of Justice (DOJ) has asserted in a newly unsealed affidavit that an alleged plot to assassinate President Donald Trump had connections to Eastern Europe through purported accomplices located in Russia and Ukraine.
According to court documents, Wisconsin teenager Nikita Casap, who was arrested on Feb. 28 in connection with the murder of his parents, allegedly coordinated with individuals overseas regarding weapons and logistical planning for his purported scheme. The DOJ stated that the parents’ murder stemmed from a “nihilistic” ideology embraced by the 17-year-old. This marks the second reported plot against Trump that investigators have linked to Ukraine.

A March 18 FBI affidavit detailed how Casap allegedly became deeply involved in the online worlds of a Satanic cult and a Russian neo-Nazi group known as National Socialism/White Power (NS/WP).
The FBI reported that Casap had been exchanging text messages in Russian with one contact and with another individual possessing a Ukraine-based phone number concerning his alleged plans to assassinate Trump and overthrow the government.
Casap purportedly discussed with these associates the possibility of acquiring a drone capable of “dropping a bomb” and subsequently fleeing to Ukraine after the assassination.
Authorities in Wisconsin reported that Casap allegedly shot and killed his mother and stepfather in early February and then resided in their home with their bodies for approximately two weeks before his arrest on Feb. 28. Police also stated they discovered a video recorded by Casap depicting his stepfather’s corpse surrounded by candles. The teenager currently faces state murder charges for the deaths of his parents, which the FBI alleges were committed “to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carrying out” the assassination of Trump.

An attorney representing Casap did not respond to a request for comment.
The affidavit further alleges that Casap declared allegiance to the Order of Nine Angles (O9A), which the FBI describes as “a Satanic cult that encourages violence, terrorism, sexual abuse, and child pornography” and espouses “anti-Judaic, anti-Christian, and anti-Western ideologies.” Individuals associated with O9A’s Satanic symbolism have reportedly been previously charged with online child sexual abuse and extortion offenses, as well as the dissemination of child pornography.
The FBI also stated that they interviewed a classmate of Casap who claimed the 17-year-old spoke about being “in contact with a male in Russia” regarding his plans. Additionally, Casap allegedly texted an individual at an unknown location about his involvement in online group chats for NS/WP, a white supremacist group based in Russia that is officially designated as a terrorist organization by that country.
“How long will I need to hide before I will be moved to Ukraine?” Casap allegedly texted to someone with a Ukrainian phone number.

“So while in Ukraine, I’ll be able to get a normal job and have a normal life?” his texts reportedly continued, according to the FBI. “Even if when it’s found out I did it?”
The FBI links Casap to what they describe as an emerging trend of “Nihilistic Violent Extremists (NVEs),” characterized by “a hatred of society at large and a desire to bring about its collapse by sowing indiscriminate chaos, destruction, and social instability.”
In a “manifesto” document reportedly discovered by the FBI, Casap allegedly wrote, “As to why, specifically Trump, I think it’s obvious. By getting rid of the president and perhaps the vice president, that is guaranteed to bring in some chaos. And not only that, but it will bring further into the public the idea that assassinations and accelerating the collapse are possible things to do.”
An unidentified associate also allegedly texted Casap, “Russia will be blamed for it, this is the goal,” according to the FBI.
Casap’s alleged manifesto also declared, “Jewish occupied governments must fall. The white race cannot survive unless America collapses.”
