President Donald J. Trump and Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele met at the White House today, showcasing what they described as a “historic partnership” focused on enhancing global security.

A key element of their discussions centered on the deportation of numerous individuals with criminal records, including gang members, to El Salvador.

The White House released a statement detailing the deportations, emphasizing that these individuals include those convicted of violent crimes such as homicide, rape, and aggravated assault. The statement highlighted specific cases, including members of the Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gangs.

“Thanks to the two leaders, scores of violent illegal immigrant killers, rapists, gang members, and other sick criminals have been swiftly taken off our streets,” the statement read.

Among those deported, the White House listed:

  • Jorge Luis Guerrero-Quintero, a Venezuelan national and Tren de Aragua member, convicted of rape and other violent offenses.
  • Kerwin Arturo Leal-Estrada, another Venezuelan national and Tren de Aragua member, with social media evidence of gang affiliation and firearm possession.
  • Jose Lopez-Cruz, a Salvadoran national and MS-13 member, with multiple felony assault charges.
  • César Humberto López-Larios, a Salvadoran national and one of the original leaders of MS-13.
  • Carlos Alvarenga Guillen, a Salvadoran national convicted of rape and aggravated assault of a minor.
  • Maiker Espinoza Escalona, a Venezuelan national and Tren de Aragua member convicted of prostitution and human trafficking.

President Trump’s administration framed these deportations as a demonstration of their commitment to public safety and a firm stance against illegal immigration.

President Bukele’s administration has publicly supported these deportations, as part of his own crackdown on gang violence in El Salvador.
