TAMPA, Fla. – Beginning at 9 AM today, April 9, 2025, all lanes on South Himes Avenue will be closed between West Watrous Avenue and West Jetton Avenue.
The closure is necessary to allow the Tampa Water Department to perform maintenance on the water distribution system.
Barricades and signs will be placed in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling in the vicinity.

The Tampa Water Department anticipates completing the work and returning to normal traffic patterns by 4 PM on Friday, April 11th. However, the work schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
