ICE Arrests Guatemalan National In Massachusetts On Child Assault Charges

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested an illegally present Guatemalan national who is charged with assault and battery family member and assault and battery on a child with injury.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Boston officers took 46-year-old Cosme De Leon-Barrios into custody in Revere on January 27th.

“Cosme De Leon-Barrios is charged with brutally assaulting a child with an injury in our Massachusetts community,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia H. Hyde. “He represents a significant threat to the residents of New England that ICE Boston will not tolerate. We stand committed to our mission of prioritizing public safety by arresting and removing illegal alien threats to our neighbors.”

According to ICE, De Leon-Barrios illegally entered the United States on an unknown date, at an unknown location, and without being inspected, admitted, or paroled by a U.S. immigration official.
