TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa’s fourth women’s Final Four, the most of any city, concluded with Geno Auriemma’s UConn Huskies winning a 12th national title, the most of any men’s or women’s program. An 82-59 victory over South Carolina marked the second time his team won it all at Amalie Arena, along with their 2015 victory.
The win also avenged a 64-49 loss to Dawn Staley’s team in the 2022 championship game in Minneapolis while denying the Gamecocks a repeat after winning their third title in Cleveland a year ago.

32 – UConn’s largest lead Sunday was 80-48 with 4:20 remaining.
