POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Eduardo Rafael Galeas Herrera, 59, of Honduras, was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on Wednesday, April 2nd, in connection with a burglary and theft.
The incident occurred on April 1st at approximately 3:30 AM in Eloise, near Winter Haven. A witness reportedly observed Herrera stealing from a charity organization’s tent.
Following an investigation, Herrera was identified as a suspect. A PCSO detective located and interviewed him, during which Herrera admitted to stealing property valued at an estimated $300.

Eduardo Galeas Herrera was taken into custody and transported to the Polk County Jail. He has been charged with burglary and petit theft.
Authorities have confirmed that Herrera is in the United States illegally, and Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a hold on him.
