A Florida man has claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR scratch-off game. Leo Raleigh, 59, of Archer, collected his winnings at the Lottery’s Gainesville District Office, opting for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.
Raleigh purchased his winning ticket from Kwik Stop Chevron, located at 3450 SW Williston Road in Gainesville. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $50 Scratch-Off game, $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR, offers players the chance to win big, with two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million. The game also boasts more than $1.6 billion in total cash prizes, and the overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
Scratch-off games are a significant part of the Florida Lottery’s offerings, making up about 74% of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
Since their start, scratch-off games have awarded over $65.5 billion in prizes, created 2,283 millionaires, and generated more than $19.80 billion for Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
