Traffic Alert: FDOT Announces Lane Closures Across Hillsborough County Next Week

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has released its weekly lane closure summary, detailing numerous closures across Hillsborough County from Sunday, March 30th through Saturday, April 5th, 2025. Motorists are advised to plan their commutes accordingly and seek alternate routes where possible.

The closures are primarily scheduled for nighttime hours to minimize disruption to daytime traffic flow, but some daytime closures are also planned. Here’s a breakdown of the affected areas:

Interstate Closures:

  • I-4:
    • Westbound lanes at McIntosh Road: Sunday, March 30th – Thursday, April 3rd, 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
    • County Line Road to McIntosh Road (both directions): Sunday, March 30th – Friday, April 4th, 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • I-75:
    • Progress Boulevard to Woodberry Road (both directions): Sunday, March 30th – Friday, April 4th, 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
    • Interchange at SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard): Sunday, March 30th – Friday, April 4th, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • Tampa Bypass Canal to US 301 overpass (both directions): Sunday, March 30th – Friday, April 4th, 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
    • Northbound and Southbound ramps (Exit 266) onto Fletcher Avenue: Sunday, March 30th – Thursday, April 3rd, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • Fowler Avenue to Fletcher Avenue (both directions): Sunday, March 30th – Thursday, April 3rd, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • I-275 (Howard Frankland Bridge):
    • Between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties: Sunday, March 30th – Saturday, April 5th, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • Southbound entrance ramp from SR 60 (Memorial Highway): Sunday, March 30th – Saturday, April 5th, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

US and State Road Closures:

  • US 301:
    • Wildgrass Meadow Drive to Simmons Loop: Sunday, March 30th – Thursday, April 3rd, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • North of Rhodine Road (northbound): Tuesday, April 1st, 9 p.m. to Wednesday, April 2nd, 6 a.m.
    • Paseo Al Mar Boulevard to north of Ambleside Boulevard: Sunday, March 30th – Thursday, April 3rd, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • Under the I-75 overpass: Sunday, March 30th – Friday, April 4th, 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • SR 60 (Memorial Highway):
    • George J. Bean Parkway to Veterans Expressway (westbound): Sunday, March 30th – Thursday, April 3rd, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • US 41 to US 301 (westbound): Sunday, March 30th – Thursday, April 3rd, 7:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
    • Clarence Gordon Jr. Road to Polk County Line: Sunday, March 30th – Friday, April 4th, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard):
    • Between I-75 and Williams Road (eastbound): Monday, March 31st – Wednesday, April 2nd, 10 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Other Road Closures:

  • Central Avenue from 7th Avenue to Columbus Drive: Monday, March 31st – Friday, April 4th, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Cypress Street from Skyway Park Trail to Memorial Hwy and Reo Street from Cypress Street to Gray Street: Sunday, March 30th – Friday, April 4th, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Harney Road under the I-75 overpass: Sunday, March 30th – Saturday, April 5th, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Ola Avenue from 7th Avenue to Florida Avenue: Monday, March 31st – Friday, April 4th, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Fletcher Avenue from Hidden River Parkway to I-75: Sunday, March 30th – Thursday, April 3rd, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
