A Florida man is celebrating a $2 million windfall after winning the top prize in the Florida Lottery’s 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game. Riskin claimed his prize at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, opting for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,280,000.00.

Louis Riskin, 46, of Jacksonville, purchased his winning ticket from G & W Food & Smoke, located at 2921 Monument Road in Jacksonville. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game, priced at $10, offers players the chance to win from a pool of over $243.4 million in cash prizes, including more than ten $2 million top prizes. The overall odds of winning in this game are 1-in-3.49.  

Scratch-off games represent a significant portion of the Florida Lottery’s sales, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

Since its inception, the Florida Lottery’s Scratch-Off games have awarded over $65.5 billion in prizes, created 2,283 millionaires, and generated more than $19.80 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
