TAMPA, Fla. – Commuters on South MacDill Avenue in Tampa should prepare for a lane closure starting today, March 19, 2025. The Tampa Water Department will be closing the outside northbound lane between West Fountain Boulevard and West Parkland Boulevard for water distribution system restoration.
The closure will begin at 9:00 a.m. and is scheduled to remain in effect until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Tampa Water Department crews are returning to the location to complete a more permanent restoration following earlier maintenance on the water distribution system. Barricades and flaggers will be present to direct traffic and assist with rerouting.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid potential delays. Those traveling in the area should exercise caution and follow the directions of flaggers and posted signage.
