Republican Texas Rep. Brandon Gill appeared on Fox News Tuesday to criticize Democratic Party policies as well as certain judges who, according to him, prioritize the rights of illegal aliens over the safety of American citizens.
The Trump administration appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals to reassign Judge James Boasberg, who blocked the deportation of alleged gang members. This, after Boasberg immediately halted President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport members of Tren de Aragua and other illegal migrants. During an appearance on “The Evening Edit,” Gill blasted Dems who oppose deporting the gang members.

Gill also filed an impeachment article resolution against Boasberg that accused him of abusing his judicial powers and jeopardizing the safety of Americans.
“This is broad and unconstitutional judicial overreach from a circuit court judicial judge who is attempting to essentially conduct the foreign policy of the United States from the local judge bench in D.C. That is wrong,” Gill said when asked about Chief Justice John Roberts, who said that impeachment is not an appropriate response. “If he wants to allow the courts to continue having the legitimacy that they have had for 200 years, he needs to get his courts in line. We have a constitutional power in the legislature that is non-judicable to impeach rogue judges.”
“America would be safer and more prosperous if Democrats and their rogue judges who carry out their bidding loved the American people as much as they seem to love inundating our communities with violent illegal aliens,” Gill told host Elizabeth MacDonald.

Gill said that Trump was just leveraging his statutory authority under the Alien Enemies Act.
“What President Trump is doing here by deporting members of the Tren de Aragua, who, by the way, are some of the most ruthless and brutal gang members on the globe, is he is using his statutory authority under the Alien Enemies Act and his plenary authority under Article 2 of the Constitution to carry out the United States’ foreign policy and to repel invasions,” Gill said.
Gill also said that the judge’s decision was an unlawful takeover of the president’s power to protect the nation.
“This is entirely lawful for the president. What is not lawful is a rogue judge in the D.C. Circuit Court trying to usurp the president’s power to protect the American people, power that, by the way, President Trump was democratically given,” Gill said. “It is wrong and I believe impeachable for this judge to be usurping that power.”
Trump on Saturday invoked the Alien Enemies Act, an old wartime law that has been dormant since World War II. This move grants him enhanced powers to fast-track the deportation of both confirmed and suspected members of Tren de Aragua, a notorious criminal group that started in a Venezuelan prison and is now implicated in several violent crimes across the United States.

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that almost 300 Tren de Aragua gang members were arrested and deported to El Salvador, where they will be detained in a mega-prison under an agreement secured by the Trump administration. In a social media post, El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele confirmed the arrival of 238 Tren de Aragua and 23 MS-13 gang members to the Terrorism Confinement Center, a large prison facility in El Salvador that detains thousands of criminals and suspected gang affiliates from across the globe.
Boasberg ordered an immediate stop to Trump’s deportation efforts of illegal Tren de Aragua migrants under wartime powers. In their motion to stay the order, the Department of Justice called the order “unprecedented” and said that the federal judge does not have the necessary jurisdiction.
