A Florida man has claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s “500X THE CASH” Scratch-Off game. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.
Marcos Valim, 50, of Miami, purchased the winning ticket at a Publix located at 4870 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The “$50 500X THE CASH” Scratch-Off game offers a top prize of $25 million, the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game, along with the best odds of becoming an instant millionaire. The game boasts over $1.66 billion in total cash prizes and overall odds of winning of 1-in-4.23.
Scratch-off games are a significant part of the Florida Lottery, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
