TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – Nicole Lampadarios Free, 49, of Tarpon Springs, has been arrested and charged with grand theft of over $20,000, according to the Tarpon Springs Police Department.

Free, who served as President of the Tarpon Springs Little League, is accused of misappropriating funds from the organization’s accounts. The alleged thefts occurred between June 2023 and March 2024.

According to police, Free withdrew at least $23,085.30 from the Little League’s accounts and used the funds for personal purposes. Additionally, she made cash withdrawals exceeding $18,000, also allegedly for personal use.

Members of the Little League’s Board became suspicious when vendors reported that payments from the league were being returned due to “insufficient funds.”

This led to an investigation and Free’s subsequent arrest on March 14, 2025.
