Gordon Street Inferno: Plant City Fire Crews Battle Early Morning Flames

PLANT CITY, Fla. – Plant City Fire Rescue (PCFR) battled a significant house fire on Gordon Street in the early hours of this morning. Firefighters responded to the scene at approximately 3:00 a.m., finding a single-family residence heavily engulfed in flames.

Crews immediately launched an aggressive attack, working rapidly to contain and extinguish the blaze. During the operation, one individual was treated at the scene and subsequently transported to a local hospital by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

The patient’s current condition remains unknown at this time.

While the fire has been extinguished, PCFR personnel are still on scene conducting overhaul operations, ensuring all hotspots are addressed and investigating the cause of the fire. Authorities are advising residents to avoid the area as the scene remains active.

“Plant City firefighters responded within minutes to find the home well-involved,” stated Jeremy Sidlauskas, Fire Chief of Plant City Fire Rescue. “They quickly went to work battling the fire while also providing care to one patient, who was then transported by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. We appreciate the hard work of our crews and the assistance of our public safety partners.”

The Plant City Fire Marshal’s office is now working to determine the origin and cause of the fire. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
