TAMPA, Fla. – A significant structure fire erupted in the 5200 block of N. Lois Ave. early this morning, drawing a large response from Tampa Fire Rescue. Crews arrived at the Pink Pony at 4:55 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames billowing through the building’s roof.
Due to the size of the structure and the intensity of the fire, a second alarm was immediately called, prompting the deployment of additional firefighting resources.

Firefighters battled the blaze aggressively, and within 30 minutes, they successfully brought the fire under control.
Following the suppression of the flames, Tampa Fire Rescue conducted thorough primary and secondary searches of the building. Fortunately, no occupants were found inside.
While no civilians were injured in the incident, one firefighter was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The extent of the firefighter’s injuries was not immediately released.

The Tampa Fire Marshal’s office has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
