Florida drivers are seeing minimal changes at the pump, with gas prices remaining relatively stable, according to AAA. As of Sunday, March 10, 2025, the state average was $3.09 per gallon, a mere one-cent increase from the previous week.
For the past five months, Florida gas prices have fluctuated within a 20-cent range, a trend largely attributed to the stable price of crude oil. However, recent market shifts have introduced some uncertainty.

“For months, oil prices avoided significant swings, which also prevented gas prices from doing the same,” explained Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “However, bearish sentiment crept into the market last week. Economic uncertainty and the potential for increased production from OPEC helped push oil prices to lows not seen since November. It’s unclear if this will have an effect on gas prices. Interestingly enough, the price of gasoline futures increased last week, likely because refineries are beginning to produce summer blend gasoline and spring break travel is causing higher demand for fuel.”
Last week, the price of U.S. crude oil dropped by 4%, with Friday’s closing price at $67.04 per barrel, $2.72 less than the previous week. Conversely, gasoline futures rose by 14 cents per gallon.

While oil prices have dipped, the increase in gasoline futures suggests that factors such as refinery transitions to summer blend gasoline and increased travel demand during spring break may offset the downward pressure on prices.
