POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A routine traffic stop in Eagle Lake turned into an arrest for a 22-year-old man with an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault.
On Thursday, March 6th, a Polk County Sheriff’s deputy was conducting speed enforcement when they observed a Ford Fusion traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Jax Kover.

A routine check of Kover’s information revealed an active felony warrant for his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The warrant stemmed from an incident investigated by the Winter Haven Police Department.
Kover was arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail.
