A New York man was arrested Wednesday night in the Florida Keys after allegedly driving recklessly while naked and under the influence.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls around 7:57 p.m. reporting a reckless driver on U.S. 1 near Mile Marker 110. Callers stated that the driver, later identified as 55-year-old Timothy Mahoney from Montgomery, New York, had struck some cones near Mile Marker 108 before coming to a stop.

When deputies arrived, they found Mahoney outside his truck wearing only a construction hard hat and dancing to music. He was also attempting to smoke marijuana from a pipe.
Mahoney was arrested and charged with DUI, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Monroe County Jail.
