Tampa Traffic Alert: Multiple Lane, Road Closures Due To Water Main Repairs And Maintenance

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa drivers should be aware of multiple lane and road closures starting today due to water main repairs and maintenance by the Tampa Water Department.

Lane Closure on West Azeele Street:

  • Beginning at 9 a.m. today, the westbound lane of West Azeele Street will be closed between South Howard Avenue and South Moody Avenue to repair a water main break. This closure is expected to remain in effect until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11th.

Full Road Closure on West Morrison Avenue:

  • Also starting at 9 a.m. today, all lanes of West Morrison Avenue will be closed between South MacDill Avenue and South Marti Street for water distribution system maintenance. This closure is anticipated to last until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11th.

Barricades and signs will be in place to direct traffic and assist with rerouting. Drivers should expect potential delays and exercise caution when traveling in these areas. Modifications to lane closures may be necessary during the course of the work.
