Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library To Host Bestselling Author Jamie Ford

TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative is thrilled to announce its first author event of 2025, featuring New York Times bestselling author Jamie Ford.

Ford is best known for his captivating historical novels that explore themes of race, identity, love, and family. His debut novel, “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet,” spent two years on the New York Times bestseller list and garnered numerous accolades, including the 2010 Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature. His latest novel, “The Many Daughters of Afong Moy,” was also an instant New York Times bestseller.

An Evening with Jamie Ford

The library will host “An Evening with Jamie Ford” on Tuesday, March 11th, at 6 p.m. at the Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library. This free event will give attendees the opportunity to hear Ford discuss his work, his writing process, and his journey as a historical novelist.

Book Discussions

Throughout March, the library will also host book discussions at various branches focusing on Ford’s latest novel, “The Many Daughters of Afong Moy.” Registration for these discussions is recommended through the library’s website: HCPLC.org/events.
