“Rene Alejandro Rosales-Vindel attempted to flee justice in his home country and hide out in the United States,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia H. Hyde. “Not only did he break our immigration laws, but he also assaulted a resident of Massachusetts. Now he is back in Honduras to answer the charges against him.”
Rosales-Vindel has a history of legal troubles in the U.S.:
- March 2014: Apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol after illegally entering the U.S.
- August 2017: Arrested by ICE after being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
- October 2017: Ordered removed by an immigration judge.
- May 2018: Convicted in Chelsea District Court of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
- November 2024: ICE revoked his order of supervised release.
