Loranzia Outin, III, 48, of Jacksonville, has been sentenced to six years and five months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Outin pleaded guilty to the charge in December 2024.
According to court documents, confidential informants purchased controlled substances from Outin in February and March of 2024. On March 22, 2024, Clay County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at Outin’s residence. During the search, officers discovered a 9mm pistol, a .22 caliber revolver, and methamphetamine in Outin’s room.

Outin has an extensive criminal history with 10 prior felony convictions, including drug and firearm offenses. As a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under federal law.
This case was investigated by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Assistant United States Attorney Brenna Falzetta prosecuted the case.
