Mississippi Man Sentenced To Over 18 Years For Meth Distribution

Jarvis Jermaine Hampton, 28, of Meridian, Mississippi, was sentenced to 220 months (over 18 years) in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Hampton sold methamphetamine on two separate occasions in early 2024. Following these sales, law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence, where they discovered a substantial quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine, a pill press, and a machine gun.

A federal grand jury indicted Hampton in April 2024, and he pleaded guilty to the charge in October 2024.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, with assistance from the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.
