CLEARWATER, Fla. – Matthew White, 43, of Clearwater, has claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game. White opted for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.
White purchased his winning ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 2030 Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $50 Scratch-Off game, $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR, offers two top prizes of $1 million a year for life, as well as 234 prizes of $1 million. The game boasts over $1.6 billion in total cash prizes, with overall odds of winning at 1-in-4.50.
Scratch-off games play a significant role in the Florida Lottery’s portfolio, accounting for approximately 74% of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
