Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard outlined a series of sweeping actions to restore integrity within the intelligence community and ensure that American national security remains uncompromised.
Speaking on Fox News Tuesday, Gabbard condemned recent leaks and improper conduct by intelligence personnel and announced that a directive has been issued to terminate over 100 individuals and revoke their security clearances.
“What we’re going to do has already been done,” Gabbard said. “I put out a directive today that they all will be terminated, and their security clearances will be revoked.”

The director criticized the misuse of an NSA platform—meant strictly for professional communications—for activities she described as “horrific” and a gross violation of trust.
“They were brazen in using this tool to conduct behavior that goes against the basic rules and standards of professionalism,” she added, emphasizing that such actions are not only unacceptable but have long undermined public trust in the nation’s intelligence apparatus.
Gabbard noted that this is only “just barely scratching the surface” of the broader issues plaguing the intelligence community, with several agents reportedly reaching out to her with evidence of misconduct.
“People within the intelligence community are stepping forward because they are on board with the mission to clean house and refocus on our core duty: serving the American people, ensuring our safety, security, and freedom,” she said.

Gabbard also touched on a separate but related diplomatic effort. When asked about a pending minerals deal with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which is part of a broader strategy to end the war in Ukraine and counterbalance growing ties between Russia and China, Gabbard provided context on the administration’s multiple initiatives.
“President Trump’s top priority is ending the war between Russia and Ukraine, and he is working on several fronts,” she explained. “The minerals deal is one component—designed to generate revenue and stimulate post-war recovery in Ukraine—while broader negotiations remain ongoing. These efforts are aimed at protecting the interests of the American people and ensuring peace.”
Gabbard’s remarks come at a time when the intelligence community is under increased scrutiny following a series of high-profile leaks and allegations of politicization.
As the administration moves forward with its “clean house” initiative, Director Gabbard stressed that rebuilding trust within the intelligence community is essential. “The American people expect us to uphold our core mission without compromising on integrity or professionalism,” she said. “We must root out corruption and ensure that those who serve our nation are loyal to the Constitution and to the American people.”
