Clearwater Library To Host “Night At The Library” Celebrating Black History Month

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The North Greenwood Library in Clearwater is gearing up to host its 8th annual “Night at the Library” event in celebration of Black History Month. This year’s event, themed “Achieving a Legacy Through Learning,” will take place on Friday, February 28th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at 905 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.

Organized in partnership with the Clearwater Historical Society, “Night at the Library” aims to honor and promote African American history and culture within the Clearwater community.

Attendees can look forward to a dynamic program featuring several guest speakers:

  • Kayla Davis: Librarian at Valencia College in Orlando
  • Bennie Niles: Educator specializing in African American education with the Cultural Sankofa Project, Inc.
  • Barbara Sorey-Love: Educator and activist with the Clearwater African American Foundation
  • Wa’dasja Hilton: Student at St. Petersburg College and member of the RHO Kappa History Honor Society Teen Advisory Board
  • Muhammad Abdur-Rahim: Author and activist

First Lady Catering will provide refreshments, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event.
