Aoun was reportedly driving a Chrysler minivan at a high rate of speed on Dali Blvd when he lost control of the vehicle, crossing into two bicycle lanes and striking Miller in the median. Miller was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries six days later.

Traffic investigators determined that Aoun was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Aoun was arrested in Michigan for violating his pre-trial release and has been extradited back to Pinellas County to face the upgraded charges.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
