LAKELAND, Fla. – A Lakeland man’s attempt to avoid a trespassing charge escalated into a foot chase and multiple drug-related charges on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Isaac Rose, 30, was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) after initially providing a false name to deputies.

Deputies were called to the Circle K store at 125 North Combee Road in Lakeland to issue a trespass warning to Rose. Upon contacting him, Rose gave a false name. While deputies were verifying the provided information, Rose fled on foot.

A K9 unit assisted deputies in pursuing Rose.

During the chase, Rose discarded a bag that was later recovered by law enforcement. The bag was found to contain a variety of illegal drugs, including fentanyl, Xanax, and marijuana – all packaged for sale – as well as methamphetamine and oxycodone.

The K9 unit successfully located Rose, and he was taken into custody. Deputies subsequently discovered that Rose had outstanding warrants for violation of probation related to prior charges of possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
