PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists in Pinellas County should anticipate several nighttime closures affecting I-275 Express Lanes and ramps connecting to SR 690 (Gateway Expressway) starting tonight, Friday, February 21, and continuing intermittently through Friday, February 28.
All closures are scheduled between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM, weather permitting.
Westbound SR 690 Ramp to Northbound US 19:
The westbound SR 690 ramp onto northbound US 19 may be closed during the specified hours. The detour route directs traffic to exit onto westbound 118th Avenue N. Drivers should then continue west on 118th Avenue N, turn right onto northbound Frontage Road, and use the entrance ramp onto northbound US 19.

Southbound US 19 Ramp to Eastbound SR 690:
The southbound US 19 ramp onto eastbound SR 690 may also be closed during the same nighttime hours. The detour for this closure involves exiting at Ulmerton Road, proceeding south on Frontage Road, turning left onto eastbound 118th Avenue N, and then using the left lane entrance ramp onto eastbound SR 690.
I-275 Express Lanes:
Both northbound and southbound I-275 Express Lanes in Pinellas County may be closed. Drivers are advised to use the I-275 general use (free) travel lanes as an alternate route.

Eastbound SR 690 Express Lane Ramp to Northbound I-275: The eastbound SR 690 Express Lane entrance ramp to the northbound I-275 Express Lane may be subject to closures. drivers can use the general use (free) entrance ramp to the right of the Express Lane ramp into the free lanes of northbound I-275.
These closures are: Friday night, February 21 and Sunday, February 23 through Friday, February 28.
Drivers are urged to plan their routes accordingly, allow extra travel time, and exercise caution in the affected areas. The closures are subject to change due to weather conditions.
