The cleanup will take place in two phases. From Monday, February 24, to Friday, February 28, residents of Clair Mel East can place unwanted items such as furniture, junk, debris, metal, electronics, and up to five non-commercial tires at their curbside for collection. Items must be placed at the curb by 5 AM on the collection days; residents are encouraged to place items out the night before.

The same service will be provided to residents of Clair Mel West from Monday, March 3, to Friday, March 7.

The cleanup is limited to residents within specific boundaries:

Clair Mel East (Feb. 24-28):

  • North: Eau Clair Circle
  • South: Causeway Boulevard
  • East: Selmon Expressway
  • West: 78th Street South

Clair Mel West (March 3-7):

  • North: 12th Avenue South
  • South: Causeway Boulevard
  • East: 78th Street South
  • West: 70th Street South

The program is funded through annual solid waste assessments paid by property owners in the community. Hillsborough County Code Enforcement encourages residents to take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of unwanted items and bring their properties into compliance with county codes.

The following items will not be accepted: yard waste, commercial vehicle tires, and hazardous chemicals. Residents with questions or needing further information are encouraged to contact Code Enforcement at (813) 274-6600.
