Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), with support from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces, conducted airstrikes near Kirkuk, Iraq, on February 10th, eliminating two ISIS operatives.
The precision strikes targeted a location where the ISIS operatives were present. A post-strike assessment revealed the bodies of the two operatives, along with an explosive suicide belt, explosive material, and weapon components, all destroyed in the operation.

This ISF-led operation is part of the ongoing Defeat-ISIS campaign, which aims to disrupt ISIS networks, degrade their capabilities, and ultimately ensure the enduring defeat of the terrorist group.
Coalition Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CTF-OIR) provided crucial support to the ISF during the operation, including technical assistance and intelligence.

Despite significant setbacks in recent years, ISIS remains a threat in the region and beyond. CENTCOM, in collaboration with its partners and allies, remains dedicated to aggressively pursuing and neutralizing ISIS terrorists wherever they may be.
